The Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology, part of The University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center, is internationally recognized as a leader in cancer treatment, offering innovative, state-of-the-art radiotherapy services in a setting of multidisciplinary cancer care at several key locations throughout the metropolitan Chicago area, including the flagship location in Hyde Park, University of Illinois-Chicago Hospital (UIC), Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Little Company of Mary in Evergreen Park, and our newest location in Orland Park and Harvey, Illinois.
Our Department is also one of the leading academic research programs in the country. Our molecular and radiobiology research facilities at our Hyde Park campus are engaged in a broad range of cancer research programs with support from Federal and private sources. Our research program is devoted to developing more effective treatments and diagnostics for cancer patients.
